Abstract

Based on modern recommendations for the treatment of children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes mellitus, and the results of our own research, a system of complex staged rehabilitation has been developed. It provides for the continuous provision of medical care in a specialized department, sanatorium and polyclinic by a multidisciplinary team with the involvement of a psychologist and training in the skills of self-control of the disease. The use of staged rehabilitation helped to improve the indicators of glycemic control and emotional state, increase the motivation for self-control and reduce the risk of developing diabetic complications.
