Abstract

The need to develop a system of rehabilitation programs for different stages of medical care for children with type 1 diabetes mellitus (DM) is due to a significant increase in the number of pediatric patients in recent years, a severe course of the disease, insufficient treatment efficiency and the lack of a system for out-of-hospital rehabilitation of pediatric patients. Rehabilitation programs for children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes mellitus, basic awareness of the patient and his family regarding the disease and treatment methods require further development. Despite the fact that a significant number of scientific studies have been devoted to the problems of diabetes, difficulties are noted in the implementation of an existing innovative product due to its isolation, heterogeneity, organizational and other barriers in the process of transfer to real clinical practice.
